Men's Issues

If you suffer from premature ejaculation and want to remove it from your sex life, the first thing you must do is ascertain how much of a problem it is for you. Which of the following sums up most closely how long you can last in the sack?

* Less than one minute
* Between one minute and two minutes
* Between three minutes and five minutes
* Between five minutes and ten minutes
* Always under 15 minutes

The higher your choice is on that list, the worse your problem with premature ejaculation is. But that’s okay, in fact, it’s a good thing. You now know what you’re dealing with. Now you need a technique to tackle the problem. The triple “S” technique is a perfect method to start with. Here’s how it works.

When you have sex with your partner, it starts out fine. You’re enjoying it and able to control your stimulation levels. However, as you continue, your stimulation levels grow rapidly and start to get out of hand. Finally, they get too high and make you ejaculate too quickly. The key to solving the problem is taking action before the process just described can complete itself. Here’s how.

Start having sex as normal. Carry on until you feel your stimulation levels growing to a point at which you know they’re becoming unmanageable. You now need to use the first “S” of this technique: slow down. It’s simple and easy. Just slow down the speed of your thrust action. Also alter the depth of your strokes, to make the penetration less intense.

Once your stimulation levels have dropped to a more manageable level, you can increase the speed and depth of your strokes again. Continue for as long as it takes for your stimulation levels to get out of hand once more. It does’t matter if this is 30 seconds or 3 minutes after you applied the first “S”. Now you’re going to apply the second “S”, which is “stop”.

Stop the motion completely and deflect your attention onto another part of your partner’s body. Rub her cl*t, kiss her lips, massage her back…do whatever you want until your stimulation levels have dropped once more. When they’re back to normal, initiate penetration again. Keep going until you’re getting close to the edge. By this point, you’ll probably notice that even slowing down or stopping aren’t going to allow you to continue for much longer.

You need to apply the final “S”, which is “squeeze”. When your stimulation levels soar and push you close to the point of no return, withdraw your penis from your partner and squeeze it hard at the end, right on the head. This sounds a little brutal, but it really isn’t. Squeeze and pinch it until you feel the sensations subside, then carry on having sex.

By using all three of the S’s of this technique, you can effectively extend your sexual performance by up to 7 minutes…the first time you try it. Just imagine what the application of other sexual stamina building techniques could do for you.

Drug rehab psychology and drug and alcohol addiction treatment help men with health and mental health issues. Christian drug rehab, in particular, offers psychological and health benefits for men everywhere.

Men are used to the world of big ideas. The creators of the U.S. Constitution and other great governments articulated the philosophy of justice, liberty, fraternity, and equality. Every area of life has been influenced by these concepts and ideas. The psychology of man has these thoughts as central constructs.

Today we see that men’s health and mental health are threatened by younger generations of people that do not understand or appreciate these ideas, or where lesser ideas might lead them (drug abuse).

Substance abuse, also commonly known as drug abuse, threatens the health of men everywhere. Our values, those essential values which make us refined and sophisticated human beings, can be lost to addiction. We become uncivil, intolerant of others, not obeying the rule of law as we seek the next dose of illegal or prescription drugs, or abuse alcohol and hard spirits.

Addiction can come in many forms. Some men become addicted to alcohol. Some become addicted to prescription medications. Some become reliant on street drugs such as heroin, cocaine, or marijuana.

Constant use of these substances takes a physical toll. The liver, especially, can become affected as it tries to metabolize the drugs.

Addiction causes psychological pain. Marriages can collapse, because the addict is focused almost exclusively on the drugs. Job loss can occur. Arrest by the police is possible if the addict engages in illegal behaviors to get money for drugs.

Men’s health and psychology issues have found assistance through the Christian drug rehabilitation community. This movement has led men subject to drug abuse to learn that truth is a virtue, that honesty us better than dishonesty, and that dishonor can be replaced by loyalty to family, friends, and society.

In Christian drug rehab, men learn the psychology of wellness and their health improves. Men’s issues and other issues of living are discussed in substance abuse treatment sessions. Rehab becomes a new curriculum of hope and wellness. Increasingly, the healthy spirit of Christian wellness returns, and the resident’s psychological frame of mind is enhanced.

Drug abuse is a dead end, often literally, for men. Christian drug rehab programs offer the opportunity to develop a solid relationship with God and community, and the full restoration of health and positive psychology.

Cigars are part of the world of music - or vice versa. After all, a lot of great pop and jazz music has been created by people who cut their teeth playing in ultra-smoky bars, and Cuban folk music features an entire tradition of songs about cigars. Such musicians as Miles Davis and, more recently, Arturo Sandoval have smoked cigars, and legendary cigar maker and connoisseur Avo Uzevian is, in his turn, a jazz pianist.

It’s no surprise, then, that references to cigar smoking turn up in a number of rock, rap and country songs - especially given the recent popularity of the old-fashioned, ’50s-style playboy persona among rappers, a style choice with which fine cigars blend right in. (Think of Jay-Z and his tailored business suits, or the amount of fine Scotch consumed in rap videos.) Everything old is new again, and here we consider several songs - both old and new - that might serve as anthems for a good cigar-smoking session.

Country singer Brad Paisley narrates the penalty for lawbreaking on his wryly humorous “The Cigar Song.” Paisley tells us about the box of fine Cubans he managed to snag, despite his concerns about their high cost; he’s so happy that he ends up having them all insured. A few weeks later he reports to his insurance agent that, through “a series of small fires,” all the cigars in his insured box have been destroyed. Unbelievably, he collects a huge settlement (with which he plans to buy more Cubans), but ends up being charged with insurance fraud and sent to jail - where he can only afford to smoke ten-cent cigars. All in all, the song offers a hard-hitting take on the serious social problem of: cigar-related insurance fraud.

Jethro Tull proclaims, with great earnestness, that “A small cigar can change the world,” on “A Small Cigar,” a bonus track included on the recent reissue of their 1976 concept album Too Old to Rock’n'Roll/Too Young to Die. The song, recorded at the time but left off of the original album, celebrates the way that “A little flat tin case - and one of those ciggie lighters that look rather good” can help make a lame party “swing again.” The protagonist of the song finds himself trapped in a world full of uncomprehending cigarette smokers, who don’t know what they’re missing, but his small cigars can still change life for the few connoisseurs who know a great smoke when one’s offered to them. What cigar smoker can’t relate? Indeed, despite the fact that the song was only officially released in 2002, there’s already a clip of a guy singing it on YouTube.

Our last stop is Pink Floyd’s cynical classic “Have a Cigar,” which occupies a strategically crucial spot (Side Two, Track One) on the British prog-rock group’s legendary Wish You Were Here album. That’s the one with the businessman-on-fire album cover, which is itself a matter of legend: a longtime rumor held that the man depicted actually caught fire during the photo-shoot, motivating Pink Floyd to use a different image after initial album pressings. (This is just an urban legend; you’ll be glad to know that the man survived that day’s photo shoot just fine.)

Speaking of businessmen, “Have a Cigar” is essentially a story-song, in which the members of the classic-prog band are ushered into the office of an uncomprehending record-company executive and offered a cigar, some patronization, and - perhaps - a ticket to ride the “gravy train.” According to devoted Pink Floyd fans, the song is the band’s somewhat-bitter response to the sudden fame thrust upon them as a result of the preceding album, Dark Side of the Moon (that’s the one that supposedly was made to synchronize with The Wizard of Oz; this band sure does inspire a lot of urban legends). In any case, it’s the song that gave us that classic musical question: “Which one of you is Pink?”

“Premature ejaculation” is a well known term. And every guy that”s heard of it has his own theory on the best way to deal with it. One of the most common is often referred to as the distraction technique.

It goes like this. While having sex, the guy who doesn’t want to come too soon thinks of mind-numbing concepts or completely non-sexual imagery. For example, he’ll count back from 1000 or picture a deer getting hit by a car. Whatever it is, he’ll make sure it is a complete turn-off. He’ll do this in an attempt to take himself out of the moment and therefore distance himself from the sexual stimulation he is receiving - all in an effort to extend his sexual performance. But you have to ask yourself: is having sex for a long time worth it if you’ve got to totally separate your mind from it? Of course not! This distraction principle is a bad way to handle the problem of rapid ejaculation. Instead, you should use the REAL distraction principle, which goes like this.

Great sex isn’t just about penetration - any man that thinks different is in for a nasty surprise. Mutually pleasurable, great sex is a combination of teasing, foreplay and penetration, amongst other things. The point here is that sex should be varied. This is not only good from a pleasure point of view, but also from a premature ejaculation point of view. By periodically altering what you and your partner do to and with each other during sex, you can keep your stimulation levels under control and thereby delay your climax from happening until you want it to.

The reason this is called the real distraction technique is because you are effectively distracting you and your partner’s attention away from the fact that you aren’t having penetrative sex and onto the fact that you are doing something different yet equally pleasurable, like massaging each other, performing oral and manual stimulation, engaging in dirty talk, kissing and licking each other, etc. What you should do is alternate between a minute or two of penetration (or however long you can currently last without your stimulation levels soaring too high) and some other, non-penetrative activity, like giving her head or kissing up and down her body. As well as your partner loving the variation of your sexual encounter, you’ll also love the fact that your stimulation levels are always under control, because whenever they get too high, you can simply switch to doing something else for a minute or so. It’s a simple, but devastatingly effective technique.

In fact, most women who experience this kind of varied sexual experience prefer it over having sex with a guy who doesn’t have premature ejaculation but who can have penetrative sex for as long as he wants.

When my doctor prescribed my new Blood Pressure pills he actually told me to not go reading the literature and putting myself off. Well - guess what was the first thing I did? I usually ignore this information as the listing of possible (occasional) side effects is enough to put you off taking anything that the doctor prescribes, or taking him seriously ever again. As I read through the long list of terrifying possible consequences of taking the little white pills he had ordered for me this time - there was one possible outcome that caught my attention.

“Hey Babs, we’ll have to watch out for this one!” I blurted to my wife “it says here that a possible side effect is sexual impotence”.

Imagine me preen when she replied “Well I can’t see YOU having trouble in THAT department”

It is strange but that one comment prompted a flashback to a time in my youthful days when I DID go through a problem in THAT department. I only wish upon reflection that I had known then what I know now - especially about how the mind works.

In particular about the power of the mind if you learn to control it.

My work as a web designer first brought me into contact with a clinical hypnotherapist Adam Eason. I can’t attribute the original quote to him but one thing in particular that Adam said resonated with me. “If you think you can’t, you are right, you can’t”.

Worth repeating “IF YOU THINK YOU CAN’T - YOU ARE RIGHT - YOU CAN’T”.

We really are what we think. More importantly our subconscious mind learns everything from our conscious thoughts and believes them to be what we want.

Take my youthful introduction and exploits in the bedroom as a classic example of the truth of all this. I must point out this was pre Babs.

Without getting embarrassingly graphic I would be out all evening with my partner of the time and all the normal hormonal reactions would be present all evening - but get to the undressing and into bed stage and everything would stop working - except my mind which kept saying to myself - I knew this would happen. AND OF COURSE I WAS RIGHT - IT DID HAPPEN. My subconscious mind had delivered what I kept telling it to deliver.

I used to go to some pretty desperate measures to overcome this rapid onset impotence by pretending to want to go to the loo so that I could get myself into a ready state. Then I would scuttle quickly back to the bed before limpness set in again.

At the time I thought I was the only one that had this problem. But who do you talk to about temporary impotence when you are 20 years old?

To fast forward, the problem didn’t last long as I was fortunate enough to meet a girl who sorted out the issue once and for all in a sensitive and caring way.

The fact is that most men suffer from temporary impotence at some stage in their life.

It is not easy to write such a personal account about your own psychological impotence problem but this is a very common issue for many men and I know that there is a simple solution.

If I HAD - known then what I know now - I would have definitely turned to clinical self-hypnosis for a solution. Self-hypnosis allows you to teach your subconscious mind new beliefs about yourself - to rid you of the conflict within your head.

So I think I will just keep taking the tablets, and if anything untoward does happen well I know where I will seek a solution.
